Here are the hazy days of summer, and even more sacred and inextricably linked to it than the bbqs, the bonfires, and the mini umbrella garnished cocktails is, of course, the outdoor music festival.  In Grande Prairie we will not be outdone in this department, and are as proud as ever to present the annual  Bud Country Fever, a weekend of country compilation, collaboration, and crooning. This concert series has steadily been gaining momentum in the 19 years since its inception, and this year’s lineup-what we feel to be its biggest and baddest-will be guaranteed to strike a chord with the country music lover in everybody.

The festival this year will run over three action-packed days of June 27th, 28th & 29th, and will summon fans from all surrounding areas who want to mix it up and give new meaning to ‘Peace County’. With one main stage as the focal point for the performances, you won’t have to miss out on a single note, and when the times come to recharge between sets, the perimeters of Evergreen Park will be lined with beer and food vendors serving up homegrown country fare. Amongst many captivating acts this year, there are several that showcase and epitomize cutting edge country music talent:

The Road Hammers-With multiple Canadian Country Music Awards, Junos, and chart topping hits under their belts to substantiate the assertion, the Road Runners are one of the most prolific acts in the Canadian country music scene today. Their shows are vivacious and high energy, and will be sure to bring down the house as the closing act for the first night.

Creedence Clearwater Revisited-Two of the iconic members of the legendary Creedence Clearwater Revival launched the new group to carry on the music that defined a generation into subsequent generations. Receiving world-wide acclaim, this new CCR leaves listeners feeling nostalgic and transported in time.

BIG & RICH-Brothers John Rich and Big Kenny Alphin are extremely hands on and actively involved in every facet of their music’s production, the fruits of their labor being an incomparable fusion of party/rock/country. As the final performers of the weekend, undoubtedly BIG & RICH will throw down a gauntlet for the caliber of closing acts that future performers will aspire to follow for years to come.

This is the event that you don’t want to miss, and with a variety of ticketing options for open or reserved seating, corporate tents or skyboxes, there is a different experience for everyone, and it awaits.

As a proud sponsor of the festival for over 16 years, at the Grande Prairie Stanford Hotel some of our best memories have been made at the Bud Fever Concert. Think of us for all your accommodation needs so that we may help you create your own lasting memories.
