Grande Prairie will be THE place for music-lovers to be August 17 to 18.
 
That’s because the town’s Muskoseepi Park will be hosting the third annual Bear Creek Folk Music Festival.
 
Featuring four stages showcasing the very best in folk, country, Celtic, blues, gospel, Americana, bluegrass and rock, the event is a huge hit with locals and visitors alike.
 
The line-up for this year’s festival is simply amazing and includes Michael Franti and Spearhead, City and Colour, Colin James, Emerson Drive, as well as family favourites Sharon and Bram.
 
Headliners on the Friday evening include the Northbloods, Rura, Birds of Chicago and Colin James. On Saturday evening you can see The Step Crew, All Our Exes Live in Texas, The Steel Wheels, The War and Treaty and City and Colour on the main stage. And on the Sunday evening Dione Taylor, The Novel Idea, Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley and Michael Franti and Spearhead will take to the main stage.
 
There’ll also be a beer garden to enjoy and plenty of artisan vendors and diverse food suppliers on site. There’s be a kids’ area with free face-painting and arts and crafts too—so the young ones definitely won’t get bored at this family friendly event.
 
Prices range from $75 for a one-day pass on Friday to a three-day pass for $159. There are special passes available for seniors and kids, and children under 12 can attend for free.
