The world’s a bit different in the after-Christmas period. We’re a little calmer, and a little less likely to meet up with friends...but still, it’s not like we want to go into full hibernation mode. So there’s good news if you’re visiting Grande Prairie during this period, as there’ll be plenty of fun things to do! Coming up we have comedy nights, evenings of dancing, and live performances. Check out all the need to know information below!

Ready to laugh

We could all do with some laughter to brighten up the chilly month of January! And they don’t come much funnier than Jeremy Hotz. He’ll be bringing his ‘Dangerously Handsome Tour’ to Revolution Place on January 31. Given that his comedy is based on looking at the more miserable aspects of life, January will suit him well!

Dance for a good cause

Want to get a sample of local life, have a fun evening, and do your bit to raise money for a good cause all at the same time? Then head down to the 9th Annual GPPA Hangar Dance, which will be taking place at Evergreen Park on January 26. It’s all in support of STARS and promises to be a great evening.

Bands in town

For music lovers, there’s no better way to keep the chill at bay than by taking in a concert, surrounded by fellow fans. The Trews will be in town on January 28, performing music with a couple of support bands at Better Than Fred’s.

If you’re visiting Grande Prairie, then there’s the only place you’ll want to stay: the Stanford Hotel Grande Prairie! With a range of accommodation types and amenities that include onsite dining options, a fitness room & sauna, and complimentary wifi, it’s no wonder that it’s considered the best hotel in Grande Prairie.
