If you’re coming to Grande Prairie in November or early December, then you’ll be advised to bring some layers, as the temperatures might be a bit chilly. But that’s the only thing you’ll have to concern yourself with; the rest of your trip will be filled with fun, entertaining events and goings-on. Coming up we have events to mark the arrival of the festive season, a fun run, and a chance to hit the ice-rink. Read on below, and begin making plans for your trip.

The popular Festival of Trees event will be hosted at the Entrec Centre from November 23 - 25. The perfect way to get into the festive spirit, there’ll be lights, sleigh rides, kids activities, and much more. It’s all for a good cause, too - the money raised will go to the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation.
That’s not the only good cause we’ve got coming up, either. The Great Sweater Run will be taking place on December 1 in Grande Prairie. Get dressed up in the worst, tackiest seasonal sweater you can find, and head down to complete the run, it’s going to be fun.
Travelling with kids who love to ice-skate? Then get down to the Dave Barr Community Centre on December 1, when there’ll be a free skating session.
